If the problem isnt with your fire wall try this. After a little poking around I found that IE and Chrome both use the same type of means to access the internet so, this is what worked for me. Open IE and on the menu: Tools -> Internet Options Hit the Connections tab, then hit the LAN Settings button and UNCHECK "Use a proxy server for your LAN", then OK both windows. refresh the browser and it should work. hope this helps.
