Hi Veera,

just stumbled apon a tweet from Scott Hanselman about a new product SVNIsapi (http://www.svnisapi.com) which allows hosting a Subversion repository via IIS, without an SVNSERVE daemon or an Apache Server.

Cheers

>> Subversion is a bad focus in today’s setup. Mercurial / Git are the right idea.

I don't really agree. It depends on what you're looking for. Personally, I *love* git, and at the same time *love* Subversion.

For a singular project, I'm leaning to preferring git. For a collection of projects, I lean towards Subversion. Plus, Subversion is good for other things past versioning source code.

I use Subversion to version and sync my documents, favorite utilities, and other things--this would not be as convenient with git.

The other reason I stopped by was to point readers towards a utility I wrote which allows you to expose VisualSVN via IIS on Windows (which, if you've already got an external facing website on IIS, is extremely useful).

SvnReverseProxy can be found at http://gstoolkit.codeplex.com/Wiki/View.aspx?title=SvnReverseProxy
