Introducing the new theme for my blog

The search for the better blog theme is never going to get over, it seems. Every time I change my blog theme, I keep on saying to me not to change the theme anymore. But, sooner or later, I change my mind whenever I see a better looking theme  somewhere in the web. I curse Wordpress for giving such an easy way to switch themes, which makes me to change the blog theme at my will.

Okay, lets the cut the crap. Here I present you my blog with a new look and feel. The major difference between my current theme and the previous themes is that I designed this theme from scratch (yes!). I took the default theme of  Wordpress and applied few coloring/formats over it. The outcome is what you are seeing right now. For this blog design, I focused mainly on the typography, since most of my articles were a lengthier and it needs a good font to keep the reader focused on the content. So, I chose ‘Georgia’ as my base font for this blog. Rest of the design just followed as trial-and-error and thanks to the web development IDE – Firefox for making this design quick. I named this theme as minicom – which is a short form of Minimal & Compact (Isn’t it!?).

One key thing is I learned some Wordpress theming techniques, during this blog re-design. I’m even thinking to make this theme (or a little variation of it) to be available to the public also. So, just keep informed about the announcement, if you like my current theme and want to use it in your design. :)

Do let me know what do you think about my new blog theme. Your feedback is always appreciated! Thanks.

It will be good if you set up favicon too. Good theme.

Simplicity is beauty but how about doing some twist that will reflect your niche?
