Google Wave – Screenshots and Invites

October 13, 2009 · 16 comments

Got the much hyped Google Wave invite today. Started to explore the Wave immediately. Most of my friends have not got the Wave invitation yet, so I got a very little contacts to wave with. So, thought of posting the Screenshots of Wave here.  Please note that I’ve 5 more invites to give. I’ll be sending the invites to the first 5 people who comment on this post (yeah! I’m desperate to get comments! :P ). So, if you want one invite, be the first to comment. Sorry! The invites are already gone to the first 5 people who commented on this post. But, I hope that won’t stop you to comment on this post, anyway. :)

One thing that impressed me in Wave is the arrangement of Internal windows, like the contacts, search box, wave window etc. It surely looks cool. It’s possible to minimize or maximize any internal windows! Wave team definitely did a great work here. And, much to explore in Wave. So moving to the screenshots now.

The Google Wave User Interface – looks neat and clean!

Wave Supports adding Gadgets inside – see the Voting buttons in my Wave

All Windows are floating neatly inside the Wave – Add Participants popup!

The Fluid Layout – Windows align them automatically – two column layout now!

Look the tabs at top of Wave. Each window aligns itself to the top, when one window is maximized

When you click the top tabs, the whole window opens up in a popup – cool!

@Kris

it doesn’t look like hard. The interface is pretty neat and self explanatory. Have to wait and see, what Wave is good for.

This is the coming of age for web based communication like email, chat etc, Google wave looks like a communication platform on which we can develop & extend its features. Nice of you to post this screenshot to give us the idea how google wave looks like and what features are there.

Can you also please send me an invite so that I can try it.

@Pankaj

he.he. will be waiting for your comment, meanwhile you can wait for my invite, which I had sent you already!

I think you are right. Wave is useless, when all your friends offline. It’s like a hybrid between messenger and mail. When your friends online, you can use wave as a messenger, when they are offline, use Wave as an email service. two-in-one! :)
