So, its born – the new year 2010 is in our hand. First of all, let me wish you a
It is the perfect time for many people to take resolutions (and eventually break them later!). Even though we do not keep most of the resolutions we took, we still want to take some, year after year. A secret survey, which denied to disclose its link URL (that’s why I’m not linking that text!), tells us that more than 90% of people forget what resolutions they took after the consumption of 5 beers during the new year eve. So, it is no wonder that people don’t stick to their resolutions, when they don’t even remember what’s their resolutions were!
That’s why, one of my colleague wrote in his blog, that:
It is wise to take resolutions during the end of the year (may be December 31st), so that we only have to follow the resolutions for a shorter period of time. It is even wiser to take resolutions on what you already did, instead of what you want to do. This way, you always to get to keep your resolutions.
True, Isn’t it? So, that said, here I’m taking a risk of resolution-making-on-the-new-year-day.
My Resolutions* for 2010:
Not many, because I want to reduce the risk of not following all of them. So, here they are:
- Stay focused on my blog – build a better and useful blog.
- Learn at least one new programing language (Scala and Python – any other suggestions!?)
- Learn ins and outs of photography and buy a DSLR camera (Canon 1000D, what say!?)
and few personal ones.
* – resolutions are subject to break risk. Please read the first paragraph of this post carefully before thinking that the author will follow these.
So, what’s yours?
