
I had some free time this week. So set out to build a simple board game in JavaScript to refresh my skills. For this, I chose one of my favorite board game which I used to play all the time when I was a kid. The game is called as **Brainvita (a.k.a 33 Hole Peg Solitaire)** and is a board puzzle.

The objective of the game is to remove the marbles that are there in the board according to the rules of the game. The more marbles your remove, the better.

Brainvita - 33 Hole Peg Solitaire Game in JavaScript


Last Saturday, I was bored. So, thought of writing a game in JavaScript using HTML5 and CSS3 techniques. And thats how *[Rock Paper Scissors and Bombs][1] *came to life.

Rock Paper Scissor and Bombs

It's a simple game that is played in many parts of the world (though with different names). To play, you and the other player should choose a hand gesture (either *rock, paper or scissor) *at the same time. The gesture which has higher power than the other one is decided as the winner.

Initially, when I started coding this game, I didn't have any intention to add *Bombs* to it. But, finally when I completed the game UI, I'd the little idea of tilting the score panel based on the score weight. i.e. the bigger the score, the higher the score's side goes up.

And then, I thought it would be nice to place a bomb over the score panel so that when the lower score side tilts more, the bomb will fell down on that side thereby killing that player.

It took around 10 hours to complete this game. In one week, it has generated 500 Unique visitors and 1K page views till now. Not bad for a hobby project, I would say!

Rock Paper Scissors and Bombs


All these days, I was using [my home page][1] to tell my visitors about myself. My previous home page designs were all similar to magazine style with all the information spread across the page and the visitor can go and read.

But yesterday, I got an idea to change this. What if the user discover the information about me rather than me showing all information at once. It would increase the visitors curiosity and give them some fun rather than boring reading stuff.

Then born the idea of presenting my information by means of a simple card matching game. Sat down for 5 hours to write the game logic and design the site - thanks to JQuery, JQuery Flip, HTML5 and CSS3 for designing websites such an easy task. Within one day, I conceptualized the idea, implemented it and pushed it to live.

Only the basic version is now live. I'm planning to add scoring, reloading, randomizing cards position and few more stuffs once I get some positive feedback from my readers.
